Inexpensive landscaping ideas from our house

We do a lot of yard work in the fall. We did this border in the fall. It's a great time to divide plants, bring in dirt, get free mulch from your local much pit, and lay weed barrier. Here's our RV cement pad with inexpensive landscaping ideas. We mounded up the dirt for added effect. The green grass is the neighbors property.

Here's what we did on this border.
  • Free mulch from the local city mulch pit (it needs to be turned-the sun bleaches it a lot)
  • We purchased the weed barrier underneath the mulch
  • Free rocks from our families cabin mountain property
  • A few lily flowers are grown from catalog seeds in our home growing system. They are in between the ornamental grasses.
  • Free transplanted ornamental grasses (we divided them a few years ago from a family members house)
  • The pine tree was purchased.
  • The black-eyed susan daisies were grown from seeds. (By the curb)
