My mother raised five great kids living frugally (I am the baby). I learned some great things from her. It wasn't until after I quit working in the interior design corporate world (and the paycheck) to be a stay at home mom that my focus changed more toward the home management side. It took time and effort to learn ways to cut costs and not feel deprived. I was more than willing to give "things" up to have MORE out of life! I hated paying full price, not feeling like I could go on vacation, or buy things I wanted in those early motherhood days.
So, I began my frugal journey. I took a coupon class in 2005 and that opened my eyes. I now get 5 papers on Sunday and go to blogs and websites to help me find the deals I need. I couldn't do it without those sites. I am too lazy to go over the ads all by myself right now. From my blog recent survey I found that a lot of my readers are deal hunters and couponers like me. WOO HOO we have something in common!
If you are just starting this frugal journey or still on it like me then stay tuned I have some frugal mommy tips for you to try other than wonderful couponing! I hope these tips and lists create some feedback for me. You know me, I LoVe a challenge among the daily grind of housework. Please share your tips and experiences with me. I read each and every one.
