Being frugal is fun when you are saving for a VACATION!
Being frugal can be fun! I am on a mission to change some of my spending ways. I am going to use up what I have in my house and to save $$ from buying more things. I have a serious case of vacation travel wander lust and I need the cash to support it. We only pay cash for our vacations. My husband is now presenting the challenge to me to see how much I can use up and SAVE, SAVE, SAVE weekly!!! My frugal challenge for myself and to my readers is to: USE UP WHAT YOU HAVE to the very last drop. Go ahead cut open the lotion tube and use up ALL the lotion! Do this with everything in your life-USE IT UP before you feel the need buy something new. What do you do to be save for vacations? I need more ideas. Helps a frugal sista out!
Put all your change in a jar - it adds up quickly.

Ebay or garage sale things you don't need or want anymore.
And my favorite? Christmas club. Some banks have one for vacations too. $25 every other week straight from my paycheck - I don't even miss it.
Great ideas. I will do them. Thanks Lisa.
ReplyDeletewe have a XX amount of dollars from EACH paycheck automatically sent (via online bill pay) to a savings account in another state. If things are tight or extra good that month we can adjust the amount accordingly. I also buy/sell stuff on craigslist and KSL. Great tip for frugal home living: I re-fill dial foam soap pumps with 1 (hearty squeeze) of liquid dish soap and water. Voila- foaming dish soap/hand soap that lasts FOR.EV.ER
