I promised I would show you my new furniture! I am in love with my new contemporary sectional sofa. I purchased this set with a 7 year stain protectant. If they can't get any stains from any bodily fluid from humans or animals, food, or household stains they have to replace it. That is why I did it folks. The fabric is microfiber and it's great with kids. Seriously GREAT! I love lighter sofas, dark walls, light carpet, dark wood floors. CONTRAST! Of course I have new design goals for this room:
I want to get a new colorful rug
Colorful accent pillows custom made (after I find the fabric and decide the shapes)
Add more color into this monochromatic space
New drapes that tie in the colors
I LOVE IT!! I joined a book club a few months ago so I have been reading in the chaise lounge at night. It's so great! I got a great deal too. The storage ottoman is on back order so it's not pictured.

ReplyDeleteStaci, I just got the same one at RC Willey. But wow- it is so stiff!!! Sitting down on it I can tell that it's a little on the "small" side wouldn't you say? From your knees to bum, the cushion is not that long (or maybe I'm just used to my other couch). The floor model seemed a lot more comfy/big. The cream color is scaring me now. Too light? I have brazilian cherry wood floors, cream walls, and a huge black entertainment center. Should I have gone with the brown?

ReplyDeleteHello. I thought it was a stiffer seat too but over time it will soften. The backs are soft though. I think it's a more petite on the back height. I find myself scrunching down when I watch tv and extending my legs on the ottoman or mostly on the chaise part. Did you get the ottoman? My 6'+ husband likes to lounge more on it than sitting upright so it works for his height too. Of course it's opinion. You can return it. Did you get the 7yr fabric protection and read through it? The microfiber wipes up good with stains. Just don't get outdoor grease on it!! The fabric protection is for human and food stains not grass or car grease, etc. I figure if I get sick of it in 5 years I go my moneys' worth for that price. I wouldn't get dark brown with dark floors if I am imagining things right in your room. It would be dark! Hope this helps. Staci
Thank you so much Staci. Your right about the room becoming too dark. No, I didn't get the ottoman, but I think that I might want it now; something to stash blankets in would be nice. Did you get the matching color also? I think that they are $200. Yes, I did get the 7 year fabric protection, also paid $56 for delivery which includes any deliveries from now on out for the next year free of charge. So not bad for that since I just bought a home and need TONS of furniture. I hate asking people to help me just because they have a truck, ya know. Anyways, I just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog. I check it almost daily. I forget now how I first found you... maybe pinching your pennies? (not sure) Anyways, your huckleberries from your garden look so delish- you really are my idol.
