I saw this recipe and plan on making it soon. I am sick of all the High Fructose corn syrup in EVERYTHING! I hear it's easy too.
It uses real sugar as opposed to High Fructose Corn Syrup.
This recipe makes a light tasting syrup, that is delicious served warm over pancakes, french toast, waffles, etc.
Homemade Maple Syrup
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp. Maple Extract or Mapleine Imitation Flavoring
*Bring water and sugar to slow boil over low heat, stirring continually.*Remove from heat before it comes to a rolling boil.*Stir in maple extract as it is cooling.*Serve warm.
The best part? It costs approximately 20 cents to make!
